Community Outreach

Harrisonville Fire Department is committed to serving the community in multiple ways. Not only do we provide fire suppression and emergency medical care we provide the following services to our residents:

  • Community Education
    • CPR classes
    • Emergency Medical Technician - basic classes
    • Fire safety classes to schools
    • Juvenile fire-setter intervention education
    • Life safety education for senior citizens
  • Community Services
    • Assist businesses with their required emergency plans
    • Assistance with community events
    • Certified car seat installation
    • Commercial building plan review
    • Fire hydrant inspections
    • Fire safety inspections
    • Smoke detector and battery installation
  • Training
    • Department personnel participate in numerous forms of training
    • All personnel are fire and EMS trained through the State of Missouri
    • Personnel are required to meet a minimum number of training hours per month to maintain a high level of skill as well as meet and exceed the required number of hours to re-certify their state license
    • There are a few members that have specialized training and certification and which they have the additional requirements for those certifications
