Would you like to see history come alive?
Stop by the Cass County Historical Society and walk through the Burnt District Museum, to see the history of Harrisonville since its establishment. This museum also includes the history of other towns within Cass County. The museum will often highlight a specific period of time in Cass County, to give visitors an in-depth look at the county history of that period. Visitors also have the opportunity to see first-hand the artifacts that have been recovered throughout the county, ranging from a cotton loom in the 1800s to a washer from the 1920s. Finally, the museum offers a small gift shop of historical artifacts and books of the county's history.
