Community Improvement Grant

Hey homeowners, we’ve got some exciting news for you!

Beginning on February 1, 2023, the City’s Community Development Department will be offering a Community Improvement Grant program!

The new program will award grants as reimbursements for construction costs for exterior improvements to existing houses. Improvements can include: Roof repair/replacement, New paint or siding, New windows, Foundation work, Gutter repair/replacement, Garage doors, etc.

Based on the type of project, a building permit may be required. Permit fees are waived for grant projects requiring permits.

To participate in the program, the house will need to be owner-occupied and must have an appraised full market value no more than $140,000 for the primary building (not including land).

Items not allowed to be reimbursed include: Ladders, Construction tools, Rear-yard decks and fencing and Interior home improvements.
